Anya Taylor-Joy gets caught in the rain with rumoured husband Malcolm McRae in New York

Anya Taylor-Joy and Malcolm McRae are rumoured to have wed earlier this year. 

And the couple looked more in love than ever as she walked hand in hand with her beau while on a night out in New York.

Anya, 26, and musician Malcolm, 28, were pictured rushing to a car as they got caught in the rain during an evening walk in the city.

The British-American actress looked effortlessly chic in a black midi dress which she covered over with a long matching jacket. 

She paired it with chunky black boots and styled her long blonde tresses pulled back from a centre parting into a neat low bun. 

Malcolm – who performs pop, folk, rockabilly, rock and musical theatre – rocked a black leather jacket over a high neck jumper and trousers.  

Anya jetted to Australia in May to film upcoming blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road prequel, Furiosa, in which she plays the titular character.

During her time in the country, her personal life made headlines as rumours swirled she and boyfriend Malcolm secretly tied the knot.

She has been pictured on several occasions in Sydney wearing what appears to be a wedding ring, but has yet to comment on the speculation.

According to Page Six, the pair wed in July in a U.S. courthouse ceremony.

Anya refused to confirm or deny rumours she’d secretly married her musician boyfriend during an interview with this month’s issue of Vogue Australia.

‘I think when people want to say something, they say something,’ she said, cryptically.

The couple confirmed their relationship at the Vanity Fair Oscars party in late March, but are said to have been dating for over a year.

Anya plays the eponymous Furiosa in the Mad Max prequel, which tells the tale of the early life of the Fury Road protagonist.

Little is known about the spin-off, but with an A-list cast and director it will likely be a blockbuster.

Critics dubbed Fury Road one of the greatest action movies ever made, with it winning massive praise from fans and earning six Oscar wins.

The new movie, filmed in Australia, also stars Chris Hemsworth as villain Dr Dementus and English actor Tom Burke.

The film is set for theatrical release in May, 2024, while few details have been released about the plot.

It builds on the post-apocalyptic franchise made famous by Mel Gibson in the 1970s and 1980s.
